Telepsychiatry offers the ability to increase access to care for patients with SMI through remote, video, and virtual visits. Today it is increasingly easy to offer your patients telepsychiatry services and this webinar will offer an introduction, with a focus on use cases for individuals with SMI. Topics covered will include the history and background of telepsychiatry, available trainings, legal and reimbursement issues, technical considerations, as well as practice and clinical issues. Relevant research at the intersection of SMI and telepsychiatry will also be discussed as relevant to each of the topics.

How to Earn Credit

Participants who wish to earn AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™, nursing continuing professional development contact hours (NCPD, formerly CNE), CE credit for psychologists, or a certificate of participation may do so by completing all sections of the course, including the evaluation. After evaluating the program, course participants will be provided with an opportunity to claim hours of participation and print an official CME certificate (physicians), NCPD certificate (nursing), CE certificate (psychologists), or certificate of participation (non-physicians) showing the completion date and hours earned.
