Assisted outpatient treatment (AOT) is the practice of providing community-based mental health treatment under civil-court commitment to individuals who have a history of treatment non-adherence. AOT teams are increasingly leveraging the talents of Peer Support Specialists to meet the needs of the AOT participants. This learning module seeks to increase Peer Support Specialist knowledge and skills in working with this challenging population.
